Leading optical show Silmo returns to Paris 29 September to 2 October. Top brands, cutting edge designers and optical experts will come together to shape the future.
The winner of the IOA/Silmo International Optician of the Year award will be announced. It recognises the importance of the profession in the optical business and its role in the choice of the best product for the client.
The show theme is the SILMO generation – the future of the industry. It’s about creativity, inspiration and respect for the planet. Nearly 900 exhibitors from 42 countries and 1,500 brands will showcase their wares.
The Silmo Academy will be held on Saturday 30 September and Sunday 1 October. Speakers include Stuart Burn, chair of the Optical Suppliers’ Association’s equipment focus group, Michelle Beach, founder of the award-winning Park Vision practice in Nottingham, UK, and Grant Hannaford, senior lecturer in the School of Optometry and Vision Sciences at the University of New South Wales.
