An investigation into the prevalence of macular damage associated with long-term Tamoxifen use

With a duty of care, DOs must have an understanding of drugs and health conditions which may affect the patient’s ocular health, as well being able to give clear and accurate advice. Tamoxifen is an antioestrogen drug used to treat breast cancer, although occasionally high doses may be used in the treatment of brain malignancies.
