Progressive Lens Design: The Minkwitz Theorem

From what was essentially progressive cross-cylinders on both surfaces to the freeform manufactured designs we have today, progressive lens design has become extremely complex and is now more an industry of software development – a multidisciplinary field where optometrists, physicists, mathematicians, and engineers strive to find the next generation of design technology.
