In Part 2, we consider communication and lens dispensing. **EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION** As children attending the practice will be accompanied by parents or a guardian, the conversation will be between three or more people and not just on a one-to-one basis. First impressions are very important so it is essential that adults are greeted with warmth and understanding. Once contact is made, attention can be turned to the child so that everyone feels included.
