The Musée de la Lunette in Morez, in the Jura region of France, saw something beautiful happen on 5 July when famous optician Alessandro Spiezia came in person from Rome to present his gift to the museum: a frame made for the actress Giulietta Masina.
Alessandro Spiezia, who has already received a special recognition award from the IOA, is the optician of Pope Francis, but also of personalities such as Mariah Carey and Bill Clinton. He designed the frame himself for Giulietta Masina, who was a muse of Federico Fellini, the director of La dolce vita.

Accompanied by his wife and Amélie Morel Martin, the president of Silmo, he visited the museum and its reserves, before officially handing over the pair of glasses.
The optician came to France specially to make this donation and was charmed by the town of Morez and by the team of the Eyewear Museum. It was a great moment, and all were touched by his accessibility, his knowledge and his passion for eyewear.
