Climate change and internet-savvy older people were just two of the key trends predicted by market research experts at this year’s 100% Optical show.

Euromonitor International will share their latest vision of the future at the 2023 show, 25-27 February. Current forecasts show businesses must offer products that are carbon footprint certified as consumers become more aware of the supply chain’s impact. Transparent labelling of carbon-neutral products builds trust and enables consumers to make informed choices. A growing population of digital seniors has strong buying power, so businesses have an opportunity to tailor their digital experience to target this audience.

Senior consultant Natasha Cazin will be a keynote speaker, exploring Euromonitor’s 2023 trends report. She said: “You cannot ignore the biggest demographic factors in eyewear – the ageing population and growing number of middle class, not to mention the millennials, which are a force to be reckoned with.”

More than 200 exhibitors will attend the show, including Nikon, Mokki and Vava Eyewear. With a strong emphasis on independents showcasing thousands of products, 100% Optical will also feature a full schedule of CPD sessions with accredited education.

Show director Nathan Garnett said: “Euromonitor’s trends report always makes for a great read… We can’t wait to see what their 2023 report predicts.”
