It might seem that climate change has nothing to do with eye health, but increasing incidences of eye disease, exacerbated inequality for marginalised and disadvantaged populations, and the disruption of the delivery of eye health services because of extreme weather events prove that this is an issue that affects everyone.
To encourage the entire optical industry to be aware of the impact of climate change and take action towards being more sustainable, the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) has created this video, released in time for World Environment Day 2022:
