The 10 must-sees at 100 per cent Optical

With less than a week to go until professionals from around the globe gather in London for 100% Optical, organisers have named their top ten recommended things to see and do.

The latest in optical fashion and design, cutting edge equipment, education and networking opportunities, are just some of the highlights of the show from February 25 to 27.

Education programme

Organised in association with the Association of Optometrists (AOP), this includes 140 CPD sessions across eleven different hubs. Key topics include myopia management, advances in clinical imaging, including the role of artificial intelligence, and dry eye disease. Top tip: 40% of session availability is being held back for people turning up at the session on the day.

Exhibitor launches

Bonavista Optics Downton Abbey line of eyewear frames, sunglasses and optical accessories; Kasperek Optical’s Laura Ashley eyewear collection for the British heritage brand’s 70th anniversary and the newly-launched Kevin Life unisex accessory which performs as an eyeglass holder or lanyard and an attractive necklace will all feature at the show.

Celebrity guest

Chef, restaurateur and Great British Bake Off presenter Dame Prue Leith is a celebrity guest at the show on Sunday 26 February, showcasing her brand Specs by Prue, launched in collaboration with independent supplier MAC Eyewear earlier this year.

Contact lenses

With more emphasis on contact lenses than ever before, major brands including CooperVision, Johnson & Johnson, Bausch & Lomb, and Safilens are all confirmed as exhibitors.

Nathan Garnett, 100% Optical show director, said: “This is just a flavour of what’s on offer. Our visitor numbers, a top-notch confirmed exhibitor line-up, more networking space and opportunity than ever before, and a new approach to our CPD session bookings following important visitor feedback means that the 2023 show is shaping up to be the busiest and best one yet. We can’t wait to open those doors on the first day and welcome you all back again.”
