ACLM Chooses a New Chairman

Richard Smith was appointed as Chairman of the ACLM on Monday 15 May 2023. Richard is no stranger to the Board, having been a director from 2017 to 2018. He is currently Head of Professional Services EMEA / Canada at Bausch + Lomb and represents Bausch + Lomb as a board member at EUROMCONTACT. Richard has 25 years’ experience in the optical industry, working across the independent, multiple, and manufacturing sectors.

Richard replaces Chris Stean who resigned both as chairman and director of the ACLM at the association’s General Meeting on 24 March 2023. Chris was thanked for acting as Chairman from May 2018, for providing leadership and valued experience, and for coordinating the association during his tenure. He had previously been ACLM Chairman from 2001 to 2003.
