Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, plans for SILMO Bangkok 2020 – the ASEAN Optical Fair – are still going ahead. The show will run from 25th to 27th November 2020 in Bangkok, Thailand.
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a negative impact on the optical industry. Nevertheless, SILMO Bangkok 2020 has affirms its commitment to support optical business, and aims to provide a Post Covid-19 “face-to-face business platform” to help practitioners resume business, re-establish networks and supply chains, and learn and adopt new norms and practices.
The show aims to create more excitement and intensity to generate and build the momentum for a quick recovery for the industry with renewed business activities. Tatchaphol Chandraprasit, project manager for the show, says, “Together with our exhibitors and supporting associations, we remain confident that our industry will overcome this crisis. SILMO Bangkok 2020 stands at the forefront to support the recovery of our industry by facilitating ourselves as the key industry-gathering platform and market place for the ASEAN region.”
